Megan Etlinger, a 2-time Midwest Emmy Award-Winning Producer, has an extensive career in the media industry, including over 8 years of work at WYCC PBS Chicago (www.wycc.org). She has worked in all areas of pre-production, production (studio and field), and post-production. She is highly organized and has a great attention to detail, making her the ideal choice for scheduling and coordination. Recognizing her strengths in this area of a production, she earned a Professional Development Certificate from Northwestern University in Project Management.
Along with Producing, Megan has a great eye for shot composition and continuity. While earning her Masters of Science in Digital Cinema at DePaul University, she gained invaluable experiences working with professionals and learning expert techniques and industry standards. Megan is well-rounded in the field of media, also having a great amount of experience working in Final Cut Pro, AVID, and Premiere editing with artistic and efficient skills.
While earning her Electronic Media BA at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Megan worked for the housing television station (HTV33), where she developed, produced, and edited the bronze Telly Award Winning show; Get Inspired.
Megan takes ownership of a project, seeing it to the end, and beyond. She’s always adding insight to projects and putting the pieces together in a way which avoids unnecessary expense and improves efficiency, allowing a team to work unhindered, in a creative environment.
